How to Get the Aurora Cape in MinecraftFree for watching Dungeons II streams

Minecraft is giving away another cape, and this one does not cost a thing. The Aurora Cape is a soft pastel rainbow, cyan at the top, fading through lilac and pink into peach and lime, with a few white sparkles on top. All you have to do is watch a stream: you get a code at the end and redeem it with Minecraft.

The time window

The Aurora Cape can be earned from 29 September, 12:00 A.M. PT to 14 October, 11:59 P.M. PT. That is roughly two weeks, and it starts on the same day Minecraft Dungeons II comes out.

There are two ways to qualify, and one is enough: Twitch or TikTok.

Via Twitch

1. Log in on Twitch.
2. Pick a stream in the Minecraft Dungeons II category. Only participating channels count, so look for the Drops Enabled tag.
3. Watch for at least 15 minutes while the streamer is live.
4. Click your profile picture in the top right and open Drops & Rewards. The Aurora Cape is now waiting under Inventory.
5. Click Redeem and copy the code.

You can also find the campaign under Drops & Rewards in the All Campaigns tab. It shows whether the campaign is live and which streams take part.

Via TikTok

1. Log in on TikTok.
2. Find a livestream with Minecraft Dungeons II content that has Game Rewards enabled.
3. Watch for at least 3 minutes.
4. A notification with your code shows up afterwards. Copy it, done.

So TikTok is the quicker route.

Redeem the code

1. Go to the Minecraft redeem page.
2. Sign in with the Microsoft account you play Minecraft with.
3. Enter the 25-character code and click Redeem.

The cape is now on your account. In Java Edition, pick it in the Minecraft Launcher under Skins; in Bedrock Edition, in the Character Creator under Capes.

Java or Bedrock?

Both. One code, one account, both editions. And if you fly with an elytra, the cape texture wraps onto the wings, like in the cover image at the top.
