Themes

Three themes, one clean layout

Laby is the default: flat panels, clear tabs and the Laby sky behind them. Glass lays see-through panels over your game, Vanilla puts the same menus into Minecraft's own windows. Every button stays in its place, and each theme brings its own settings right below the picker.

  • Laby: Pixel Style for hard pixel edges
  • Glass: your own background, menu and button colors
  • Vanilla: Window Colors in Dark, Light or your own, and Fresh UI
  • An accent color and an icon pack in every theme
  • All under Appearance in the mods menu

Accent Color

Your color on every button

Every theme takes an accent color for its highlighted buttons, tabs and switches. The Laby theme also colors its badges and the sky behind the menus with it, and gives light colors dark text, so everything stays readable.

  • Any color from the color picker
  • In Laby, Glass and Vanilla
  • Tints the Laby sky, seen when the live background is off
  • Light colors switch to dark text

Questions and answers

How do I change the theme in the Laby Client?

Open the mods menu, go to Appearance and pick Laby, Glass or Vanilla under Theme. The menus switch at once, and the settings of that theme show right below.

Can I change the menu colors?

Yes. Every theme takes an accent color, and the Laby theme tints the sky behind the menus with it. In Glass you also pick the background, menu and button colors, in Vanilla the window colors: Dark, Light or your own.

How do I show Minecraft on my Discord profile?

Discord Rich Presence is on by default. Start Discord, play with the Laby Client and your profile shows it. You can hide the server address or your account.

How do I play Minecraft in a borderless window?

Turn on Borderless Window in the Window settings of the Laby Client. It works on Windows and Linux.

Does menu blur cost FPS?

Only while a menu is open, and only if you turn it on. It is off by default and has a strength from 1 to 10.

Which Minecraft versions are supported?

The Laby Client runs on Minecraft 1.8.9 up to the latest release, on Windows, macOS and Linux. The themes work on all of them.
