Minecraft FOV ChangerYour camera, your rules.

Set your FOV and keep it when you sprint. Stop the view from bobbing, calm the hurt tilt, light up caves and shrink mobs. All built into the Laby Client, free.

FOV Changer

Set your FOV, and keep it when you sprint

Pick a field of view from 30 to 110 and decide what may change it. In Minecraft, sprinting, Speed and Slowness and drawing a bow all push your view in or out. The FOV Changer switches each of them off, or sets how strong it is.

  • FOV from 30 to 110, 70 by default
  • Dynamic Sprint, Dynamic Status Effect and Dynamic Bow, each can be switched off
  • Multipliers for sprinting, flying, bow, Speed and Slowness from 0.1 to 1.5
  • Its own FOV in water, lava and powder snow

Want to look closer instead? That is the Zoom mod. A wide FOV also helps with screenshots of big builds.

No View Bobbing

Walk without the camera bouncing

Minecraft bobs your whole view up and down with every step. No View Bobbing keeps the world steady while your hand and item still sway, so walking feels calm and motion sickness has less to work with.

  • One switch
  • Only the view stops: your hand still sways
  • Also known as Minimal View Bobbing
  • Unlike the game's own switch, which stops both
MinecraftLaby Client
Walking forward: on the left the world bobs with every step, on the right only the hand sways.
Hurt Camera

Take a hit without the screen tilting

Every hit tilts your camera. Turn off Damage Tilt and your view stays level, so your aim stays where it was. On 1.19.4 and newer, Directional Damage Tilt decides whether the camera tilts toward the side the hit came from or always to the same side.

  • Damage Tilt: on or off, from 1.8.9
  • Directional Damage Tilt: 1.19.4 and newer
  • The tilt when you die stays as it is
  • Every setting starts at the vanilla look
MinecraftLaby Client
Three hits each. Minecraft tilts the camera, with Damage Tilt off it stays level.
Motion Blur

Motion blur for smooth, filmic turns

Motion Blur smears the picture while you turn, the way a film camera does. Three types: Laby blurs along your movement, Mix blends in the last frames, Max leaves bright trails. You set the strength, and for the Laby type also the quality.

  • Types: Laby, Mix and Max
  • Strength from 0 to 100, 20 by default
  • Quality from 4 to 32, 12 by default (Laby type)
  • More quality looks smoother and costs frame rate
OffLaby
The same turn without Motion Blur and with the Laby type at strength 60.
Fullbright

See in caves without torches or night vision

Turn on Fullbright and every block is lit as if the sun stood right above it: caves, the Nether, the middle of the night. No potion, no edited options file, one switch that you can also put on a hotkey.

  • One switch, or a hotkey you choose
  • Lights every block, day and night
  • No Night Vision effect needed
  • Off again in a second, for the mood

Need to know where mobs can spawn? The Light Level widget shows the real light where you stand.

A dripstone cave without a torch: Fullbright on, every block lit, and off again.
Mob Size

Shrink mobs and players

Mob Size draws models smaller, down to half their size. Set it for yourself, for other players and for each of 99 mob types on its own, so the creeper behind you looks less in your face and big mobs stop filling the screen.

  • From 0.5 to 1.0, in steps of 0.1
  • Own player, other players and 99 mob types
  • One value for mobs from addons without their own setting
  • Only the model shrinks, hitboxes stay
Creeper, zombie and pig, each shrunk from 1.0 to 0.5 on its own and then back.

Clear View, particles, the enchantment glint and your GUI scale come with the visual mods.

Questions and answers

How do I keep my FOV from changing when I sprint?

In the Laby Client, turn on the FOV Changer and switch off Dynamic Sprint. Your field of view then stays where you set it when you sprint. Dynamic Status Effect does the same for Speed and Slowness, Dynamic Bow for drawing a bow.

Can I turn off view bobbing but keep my hand moving?

Yes. No View Bobbing only stops the camera. Your hand and the item in it still sway while you walk, unlike the game's own View Bobbing switch, which stops both.

How do I turn off the hurt camera tilt?

Switch off Damage Tilt under Hurt Camera. Your view stays level when you take damage, on every version from 1.8.9. The tilt when you die is not changed.

Does Fullbright need night vision or a gamma trick?

No. Fullbright lights every block on its own, without a potion and without editing your options file. Put it on a hotkey to switch between bright and moody.

What does Mob Size change?

Only how big players and mobs are drawn, from full size down to half. Hitboxes stay the same, so hitting a small zombie works just like before.

Which Minecraft versions are supported?

The Laby Client runs on Minecraft 1.8.9 up to the latest release, on Windows, macOS and Linux. Directional Damage Tilt needs 1.19.4 or newer, and the powder snow FOV needs a version with powder snow.
