Minecraft streamer mode and live tagsGo live, keep the private stuff off stream.
A LIVE tag above everyone who streams right now, a Streamer Mode that hides server addresses and messages the moment OBS starts, and a partner tag for the creators you support. Built into the Laby Client, free.
- Free
- Minecraft 1.8.9 to the latest release
- Windows, macOS and Linux
See who is live, right above their head
When a player is streaming on Twitch, a red LIVE tag with the viewer count shows above their name, for everyone on the Laby Client. Middle-click them and the Twitch icon in the interaction menu carries the same badge, one click away from the stream. You get the tag yourself as soon as Twitch is on your Laby profile.
- LIVE with the viewer count, like 1.2k
- Shows within a minute of going live
- Badge on the Twitch icon in the interaction menu
- Also on your laby.net profile
- On by default, Show Live Streams turns it off
- Twitch for now
Show Twitch on your laby.net profile to get the tag: link it in the profile settings and keep it visible.

Private things stay off your stream
Start OBS and the Laby Client switches to Streamer Mode on its own. Server addresses turn into Hidden in the server list, the HUD, the tab list and on Discord, the place behind your weather stays out of view, and Laby Chat messages pop up as "New message" without the text. Public servers from the laby.net server list keep their name, so your viewers still see where you play.
- Turns on with OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit or Twitch Studio
- Or always on, or off, your choice
- Toggle hotkey for a stream without software
- Hides server IPs, also in disconnect messages
- Hides your friends' servers and party invites
- Hides other account names and the World Sharing address
- An eye in a hidden field shows only that field
- Public servers keep their name

Questions and answers
Does Minecraft have a streamer mode?
Not by itself. The Laby Client adds one: it hides server addresses, your location, other accounts and Laby Chat messages while you stream, and turns on by itself when OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit or Twitch Studio runs.
How do I hide my server IP while streaming Minecraft?
Leave Streamer Mode on Automatic and start your streaming software. Server addresses then show as Hidden in the server list, the HUD, the tab list, disconnect messages and on Discord. Servers from the laby.net server list keep their name.
How do I turn Streamer Mode on without OBS?
Set Streamer Mode to On in the Laby Client settings, or bind its toggle hotkey and press it whenever you want. The hotkey switches it until your streaming software starts or stops.
How do I get the LIVE tag above my name?
Show Twitch on your laby.net profile. Within a minute of going live, a LIVE tag with your viewer count shows above your name for everyone on the Laby Client.
How do I get a partner tag?
Enter the creator code of a creator who has a partner tag in the account menu of the Laby Client. Their logo then shows after your name. Creators get their own code and tag through the Laby partner program.
Can I hide live tags and partner tags?
Yes. Show Live Streams and Show Partner Tags are two switches in the name tag settings.
